Welcome to the Drive On Photography workshops/tours page. On my photo workshops/tours I will provide instruction based on my 30 years of experience. I will discuss the mistakes that have helped me improve. I hope that my Perspectives will help you make better photographs. During these workshops, you will Capture original images – on-site and in the digital darkroom. And you will feel as though you are among Friends – you will be part of a great group of photographers who enjoy creating photographs in their own style, and having fun along the way. The ability to maintain "Patience" is absolutely a necessity in order to capture stunning images. If you are new to my workshops, I will provide examples, where being in a hurry cost me a great shot. Here are some of my learning Experiences and Suggestions, that will help you become a successful photographer.

Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Refuge is a beautiful and fragile wetland in the New Mexico high desert. It is a rare section of the Rio Grande that performs much like it did historically before man altered the river, although it now requires intense management to do so. This oasis in the desert is worth protecting as it faces multiple challenges, including a shrinking water supply from the Rio Grande and problematic and inconsistent federal funding.
This Workshop will also offer an opportunity to experience an amazing feat of engineering. The Very Large Array (VLA) option will allow the workshop attendees to capture some amazing architectural images of the stunning landscape. Weather permitting, we may stay long enough to do some Astrophotography. The VLA is in the very high NM Dessert and it will be colder at this location.

Drive On Photography Photo Safaris offers various ways to maximize your safari experience. Our private safari workshops are limited to 3 photographers (and 1 additional passenger) to allow maximum flexibility in our specially designed safari vehicles. Our vehicles are closed-door vehicles with A/C for over-the-road travel. Once in the field, the roofs can be lifted to allow photographers full access to use their lenses to capture stunning images.
We are an experienced, photo-oriented team that takes pride in offering the best African photo safari tours and workshops. Our talented Photographers and the guides we work with provide the perfect opportunity for every participant to discover, photograph, and treasure the most prized and abundant wildlife areas throughout Africa.
Our Workshop leaders have traveled extensively, and they know the guides and staff. All you have to do is show up, and everything else will be taken care of.

I recently returned from a safari with Africa Nature Photography & Safaris. Everything was amazing! The accommodations and food were great. The drivers/guides, Roman and Ellison, are extremely knowledgeable and know exactly how to position the vehicle to capture the best images. There were so many amazing wildlife viewing opportunities, but I must say that viewing five wildebeest river crossings over three days was a highlight. I definitely recommend Drive on Photography, and I look forward to another trip with them!
