On Safari – Tanzania 2023

If you want to experience a truly life-changing event, then consider a Photo Safari. Follow me while on Safari in Tanzania as we move from camp to camp in areas that can only be described as remote and truly off the grid. Nonetheless, what an amazing experience. I have traveled to more than 100 countries in my 35-year career in the Air Force, but few experiences can be compared to what I have experienced over this ten-day expedition.

The impala seen above is a medium-sized antelope found in eastern and southern Africa. The only extant member of the genus Aepyceros and tribe Aepycerotini, it was first described to Europeans by German zoologist Hinrich Lichtenstein in 1812.

This early morning image capture with the Canon R5, Canon 100-500mm lens at 500mm, F7.1, ISo 5000, and SS of 1/500 sec.

Follow my Photo Tours Page Here for updates on my workshops. I. may offer two Photo Tours in 2025, One in February and one in late August or early September 2025. Both will be amazing opportunities to see hundreds of thousands of animals in their natural environment.
