Immerse yourself in the breathtaking landscapes and abundant wildlife of Tanzania in our exclusive 11-day, 10-night photography workshop. Guided by the owner of Drive on Photography himself, Greg Johnson, with over 30 years of experience capturing the world's most stunning locations, you'll have the opportunity to hone your skills and create extraordinary images in one of the most beautiful and wildlife-rich regions on Earth. Greg is an Air Force veteran with 35 years of service; he has visited over 100 countries, capturing stunning images. His images have placed first in judged galleries and been published in newspapers and magazines, and his sports images have featured championship teams on significant online sports webpages.
We have kept this workshop small to accommodate one-on-one time with your host. We limit these workshops to 14 attendees.
Your adventure begins with luxurious safari lodges and private tented camps, where comfort meets the untamed wild. Each detail — from gourmet meals to evening fireside gatherings — has been thoughtfully curated to enhance both your photographic experience and personal renewal. With small-group access (limited to just 10 participants), you’ll receive individualized attention in the field and in post-processing sessions. Greg and Julia Johnson will guide you through camera techniques, composition mastery, and Lightroom editing, ensuring you leave with both breathtaking images and lasting memories. More than a photo safari, this is a faith-centered journey of discovery, creativity, and connection — capturing the rhythm of life across the African plains.

Mornings begin before dawn as the savanna awakens — the perfect time to capture predators on the move and the first light illuminating the Serengeti. After returning to camp for breakfast, we gather for editing tutorials and image reviews, where Greg provides personalized feedback and Lightroom instruction to help refine your creative vision.
Afternoons bring relaxed discussions on technique and storytelling before heading out on your second game drive to photograph the afternoon light and golden horizons. Evenings are reserved for shared fellowship, sunset reflection, and storytelling by the fire — moments that renew both your creative and spiritual energy.
